Come join us in Washington this fall to learn and burn! Selkirk Prescribed Fire Training Exchange (TREX) is a two-week training facilitating experiential learning for anyone interested in ecological burning to restore fire-adapted ecosystems. Participants will engage in hands-on training and learning in the ecology and history of fire-adapted ecosystems, prescribed fire operations, monitoring, prescribed fire use, and more.
Who can Apply?
TREX is open to all who are interested in getting experience with prescribed fire. NWCG minimum qualifications as a Firefighter Type 2 will be required. Online and field training may be available to attain these minimum standards. Other agency qualifications may be accepted. Contact us for more details.
