Join Mt. Adams PBA for a full weekend training on Saturday April 11th and Sunday April 12th.
Saturday will be fully devoted to the Wildland Firefighter Field Training (also known as the S-130) that will cover fire safety and other foundational skills and knowledge for working safely on both wildland fires and prescribed fires. It also fulfills one of the prerequisites for completing the Firefighter Type 2 (FFT2) qualification in the National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) system. The training is free and open to anyone looking to advance their knowledge and experience with fire, with a focus on people interested in learning about wildland firefighting standards and processes.
Sunday S-130 training activities will be combined with Mt. Adams PBA’s fifth annual Learn and Burn, allowing for wildland firefighter trainees to gain live fire experience while creating opportunities for peer-learning amongst trainees and Learn and Burn participants.
