This one-day family friendly event brings people of all skill and experience levels together to learn about prescribed fire. Participants will gain practical experience in fire planning, preparation, controlled burning techniques, as well as holding and mop-up procedures.
The goal of this event is to increase capacity, understanding, knowledge, awareness and the skills necessary to safely and effectively implement prescribed fire.
All ages are encouraged to come! Additional supervision of educational activities will be provided for elementary aged kids who do not wish to participate in the full workshop.
The workshop culminates in a celebration BBQ provided by the host. Please let us know if you have dietary restrictions.
