Join Mt. Adams PBA’s fifth annual Learn and Burn on Sunday April 12th!
This one-day event will provide a hands-on opportunity to learn about prescribed fire and what it takes to pull off a burn. This is a great event for those who are new to prescribed fire, including landowners interested in prescribed fire as a stewardship tool for their property. The first part of the day will focus on reviewing basic concepts of prescribed fire before implementing a small prescribed burn if conditions allow. This event is free and open to anyone – no qualifications, experience, or equipment required!
Note: The Learn and Burn workshop will be combined with the second day of our Wildland Firefighter Field Training, or S-130, allowing for wildland firefighter trainees to gain live fire experience while creating opportunities for peer-learning amongst trainees and Learn and Burn participants.
